Cooking - Pleasing Pasta

This term we have focused our DT learning on cooking. We spent a morning of learning in our hall with our special guest chef, Mrs Williams, who taught us different skills of cooking to make their very own pasta salad. Using the skills of chopping, slicing, stirring, and grating we put together our very own dish to take home for dinner. In the lesson we learnt how to use a bridge hold to chop vegetables into large chunks and then to use a claw grip to slice their vegetables into smaller pieces to go into their salads. Grating was also used to put cheese on the top.
