Potato Planting
Everyone worked together to plant the Saturn Potato Patch with seed potatoes. The potatoes had been left in the hall to sprout ‘eyes’ for a couple of weeks. Then we watched a video on how best to plant them. We noted the planting depths and spacing of potatoes and then the children measured carefully and planted the potatoes in our new class planter. The weather was perfect for planting and it was a lot more exciting that everyone expected! I was very impressed by the careful handling of those little potatoes – not a single ‘eye’ was knocked off.
