Leaf Cutting Success
Leaf cuttings were taken on 16.03.2021 and each child in Saturn class was given their own cutting to observe.
The aim is to grow a new plant from each leaf and so far we have had all but one leaf produce roots.
This week the children noticed that tiny leaves were starting to grow from the scar where the leaf had joined to the parent plant. There was high excitement that this experiment is working and they will each have either a ‘moonstone’ or ‘calico hearts’ succulent plant to take home at the end of the year.
