On Thursday 30th June nine lucky year 5 and 6 pupils got picked to go to Wimbledon. We had 10 tickets for Court one and 2 tickets for Centre court. The lucky pupils who went are: Madeleine, Ross, Rufus, Laura, Freya, Krisha, Ben.F, Katy and Aidan.
As soon as we arrived at Wimbledon (having visited the toilets!) we headed straight to Murray Mound to eat our lunch and watched the Heather Watson match on the big screen. Then at 1pm when play started on the main courts we headed for our seats (8 children and 2 teachers on Court 1 and 1 child and 1 adult on Centre Court.) During the day we saw lots of amazing tennis. One of our favourite players was Giles Simon (a Frenchman) who played some awesome tennis although unfortunately he lost! Some of us were lucky enough to see Andy Murray play! IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH BEING THERE!
It was a very long day but an unforgettable one too!
