This year, as we are not allowed to all gather physically in the same place, our Harvest celebrations became a virtual event! Each class was allocated a colour linked to Harvest and enjoyed creatively exploring this colour whilst thanking God for Harvest time. On Thursday 1st October, each class shared their learning with the rest of the school. This was the order the Harvest celebrations went in:
Jupiter Class - Harvest Poems (Green)
Mars Class - 'Big Red Combine Harvester' song
Neptune Class - Yellow Harvest Class Poem
Pluto Class - Orange Harvest paintings and collages
Earth Class - Harvest Moon paintings (Blue)
Saturn Class - Purple Harvest Poem and Prayer
As we were unable to deliver food boxes to some of the older people in the community, the children enjoyed making Harvest cards and sending them instead. Thank you for all of the generous donations of food for the Nourish Foodbank.
The children in Mars Class enjoyed learning about tractors that would harvest different types of food.
They learnt the song ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’ with added actions!
In Neptune Class, the children focussed on the Harvest colour of Yellow.
They created and performed a class poem featuring all things yellow.
How many different things can you spot?
