Ashdown Forest Outreach session
On Thursday 12th May, Earth class took part in an outreach session with a representative of Ashdown Forest. Working in our own forest school area, the children were shown what minibeasts we have in the area and why they are so important to a healthy habitat. The children also learnt about what bees do and why they are so important to the food chain. Finally, the children created minibeast models out of clay, using natural resources for detail. This was a great experience for the children, and they look forward to going to Ashdown Forest themselves on our next school trip in Term 6.
