Earth Class visit to Hever Castle
On Thursday 9th December, Earth class went on our excursion linked to our history topic to visit Hever Castle. Hever Castle is the childhood home of Anne Boleyn (2nd wife of Henry VIII). By visiting this castle we learnt about how privileged people lived in Tudor Times, in particular Anne Boleyn. We also were able to identify differences in the way wealthy and poor people lived during the Tudor time. As an added bonus, by going in December, we were able to see how wonderfully decorated Hever Castle is at Christmas time and how the Boleyn’s may have decorated their magnificent home during their time.
