Growing

The children in Mars Class have been learning about 'Growing' this term and The Superveggies visited our classroom to help us with this. We were asked to investigate how the fruit and vegetables that they had left us grew, and also do some taste testing to describe different flavours of pink grapefruit, spring onions and peppers. We experienced some unusual flavours and textures and wrote back to share our findings with The Superveggies. We used our knowledge of the different parts of the plants to identify the seeds and think about their life cycles. We observed some time-lapse videos to help us see the fruit growing from the fertilised flowers. But we had the most fun trying to locate and trap The Evil Pea! We created traps on the workbench, wanted posters as well as designs for our own superhero vegetables.
