Greek Culture Afternoon

On Tuesday 29^th November, children in both Saturn and Mercury class were treated to an afternoon of everything Greek. Linking to our study of Ancient Greece, the children took part in a collection of Greek cultural experiences. Children first had several history and Greek speaking lessons, learning the Greek alphabet and even to count in Greek. The children then took part in some traditional Greek dancing, both as a group and individual dances. Finally, the children were treated to a feast of Greek food to sample, from Greek salad to hummus and pita bread. The entire afternoon was put on by Maria and Nick from the catering company Let’s Go Greek UK based in Crowborough. Thank you both for a wonderful afternoon of cultural delights.
