Viking Day
The day was a complete success full of imagination and creativity. The children were completely absorbed in the Viking way of life. They learned to weave, to coil pots, to grind herbs to make medicine and to grind barley flour using a quern. They attended fight training, and The Thing – where Vikings gathered to agree rules and to sort out disputes. They made pewter amulets and honed their reflexes playing Jacks with bones.
