Mini Worlds

For our Geography learning this term, Mercury class is learning all about Extreme Earth. Our learning has begun with a study of how the Earth is constructed and what features the different layers of the Earth have. We created some mini-worlds to demonstrate the different layers of the Earth, and what each role the layers play. Later in the term we will then be learning about the creation of mountains and volcanoes and where in the world they were formed. Lastly, we will look at how the movement of tectonic plates can create devastating events such as earthquakes and tsunamis and where in the world they are most likely to happen.
