Earth class had an amazing day visiting the Tower of London. We had spent all term learning about 'What is a Monarch?' as part of our History enquiry, so we already knew a lot about how different types of monarchs and how monarchs in the past protected themselves. We were trained how to be a knight by Sir Robin. He also told us even more about how the Tower was a fortress. We also met a Beefeater, visited the White Tower (built by William the Conqueror) saw the magnificent crown jewels, and we were even lucky enough to witness opening to let a steam boat through. A wonderful day which was enjoyed by us all!
