Year 5/6 Hockey   April 2019

On Thursday 4^th April 2019 twelve children from Year 5 and 6 went to Tonbridge School to take part in an inter-school hockey tournament. There was an A and a B team. The A team started really well winning their first game against the Claremont B team. Despite the miserable weather, with heavy rain and hail beating against the teams, they persevered through the tough matches and progressed through their games.

At the end of the first round when each team had played all of the other teams in their group, the A team were successful in getting into the quarter finals against St Matthew’s who had two county hockey players so it was a tough game! Unfortunately the A-team lost 3-0 however they all still had high spirits as they had made it to the quarter finals.
