2022 - 2023

We have achieved the gold mark for sports and PE for 2022/2023!

Colour Run

On Friday 30th June, children from Year 3 (Neptune), Year 5 (Saturn) and Year 6 (Jupiter) took part in the annual Colour Run at Dunorlan Park. Run by the Tonbridge and West Kent Schools Sports Partnership (TWKSSP), children took part in a fun run around the lake, all the while being peppered with colour powder! It was such a blast and all the kids had a great time just taking part!

Cricket

Dynamos Cricket Tournament Year 3 & 4 Thursday 22nd June

St Peter’s did amazing! We played five matches. We won the first match, but sadly lost the other three, then at the end we won another match, but that one was just for fun against Bidborough.

Hamish did amazing batting and Wilson did amazing bowling! Well done to all the St Peter’s team for participating and we all had a lot of fun! Thank you to Alex Weston for organising this amazing event! In our team, we had: Alex, Hamish, Eva, Cyrus, Wilson, Daniel, Charlie, Lockie, Artie and Holly from year 3 and 4. Thank you everyone for coming to play or coming to watch.

Football

St. Peter's is taking part in the Boys Championship League Football.

12th October

We played against St. Augustine's away. It was a great match! The score was 6-3 to St. Augustine's.

10th November

We played against SKPS at home. It was a great match! The score was 5-5.

 11th January

Although, it was wet and rainy, St. Peter’s kept their heads held high. On Wednesday 11th St. Peter’s football team suffered a 0-3 defeat. At the half-time talk, all St. Peter’s could do was to motivate themselves. After the match, they were told that they played the best they could. Angad made some brilliant saves, Zak made some excellent challenges and the two Jacks were as good! Brilliant all round from St. Peter’s football team!

8th February

In the match against Broadwater Down it went amazingly well! In the first half, the score was 2-1 to St Peter's - Jack L and Michael had scored the first two goals. Broadwater came back and scored a goal which we unfortunately let in due to a mistake from our side. But we fought back after half time! We scored another 9 goals after a great team talk. Michael scored 4, Jack H scored 1, Jack L scored 2 and Sam scored 2! It was such an amazing match and we all played fantastically together - it really helped that it wasn't torrential rain this time! Mrs Brickle and Mr Tibble cheered us on with the parents and we can't wait to play like that again.

3rd May

On the 3rd May we played our final two matches of the Championships. These were against Broadwater Down and St. Mark's at home. The team was made up of all the Year 6 as these would be some of the last matches we all played together.

We drew against St. Mark's 3-3 and then won the match 3-1 against Speldhurst!

We have had a fantastic Championship tournament and at the moment are sitting top of the table. Not all the other schools have played their matches yet but hopefully we can hang on to that first position!!

On Monday 15th May we played a match against Speldhurst away. It was great fun and we played really well! The final score was 2-0 to Speldhurst but we used loads of the new techniques we'd been taught in training.
